Resistance Welding

Metal Forming Industries uses electric resistance welding, a form of electric pressure welding, to assemble a wide range of parts and components for our customers. MFI incorporates a unique type of electric resistance welder designed specifically to join copper and bronze components together. Resistance welding is an important operation at MFI and is used for diverse list of parts, customers, and industries. In resistance welding, the necessary heat is produced by the flow of electrical current through the parts, and by applying sufficient pressure to make the weld. The electrical current and the pressure are applied simultaneously. To meet customer needs, MFI invested in a new, durable and precise resistance welding unit.
